Place the kernel of corn on the hard surface and repeat the following words aloud:

After speaking this aloud, place your chisel on the kernel of corn and strike it with the hammer, thereby causing the kernel of corn to be split in two.

Take the pieces of the split kernel and wrap them in the piece of brown paper. Secure the packet with the tape.

Hide the packet near where the person sleeps.
