A small coin
A pen or pencil
Light the two candles and place them on a flat surface, like a tabletop. Lay the map of the destination flat on the table, near the candles. Find the exact place on the map where you plan on spending your first night away from home.
Place the coin on your destination on the map.

Using your fingertip to secure the coin in place, use your pen or pencil to trace a circle around the coin on the map.
Next, flip the coin and if it comes up heads, write a small "H" in the circle you've drawn, if it comes up tails, write a "T".
