Beltaine

Beltaine, May 1

Beltaine, also called day of May per many Christians. This Sabbath celebrates the fertility and the union of God with horns and the goddess. Currently, the life is replaced. The birds and the animals join. In the grounds, the lately planted seeds start. Large fires are lit honouring Belenos God with fertility. Some jump fires to show the exubérance season.

A mast is set up and of the luminous ribbons are hung on top. The mast, a phallic symbol, represents the masculine. The soft coloured ribbons are the female ones. The union of both symbolizes the union of God and the goddess. It is the hour to fertilize your dreams with the action. It is the legend which the children conceived at Beltane were endowed by the gods. These children became notorious as Merry-Is-Gots.
