Ostara

Ostara, 20 at March 23
Ostara, also called the equinox of spring or vernal equinox, celebrates the arrival of the spring. This Sabbath will fall between the dates above according to which day the sun is with its Scandinavian majority of point. Ostara marks the day when the night and the day are in balance. The symbols of Ostara are the egg and the rabbit. Ostara is the goddess of the norses of the fertility and it is it which is honoured this day with Sabbath. During this time, snow starts to melt, the days are hotter and longer. Looking at we around let us see the new birth everywhere, of the houses on the hillside to the animals in the fields. The life still started. It is the hour to plant seeds of the flowers, grasses and the veggies and to perhaps begin a spiritual garden.
