Samhain

Samhain, October 31
Samhain (the Sow-inn), also goes by Halloween named by the Christian community. It is our period of the ends and of the beginnings, thus much the pagan ones celebrate the new year at Samhain. It is a quieter time, one moment when the veil between the physical and spiritual world is with its thinner and the spirits can pass between more easily. At Mabon, Lugh God died so that we can to live by his abundance. During time intervening, it collected the spirits of those which died during the year and waits the night so that they can pass by the door to the other side. It is the hour to venerate our ancestors and of saying the good-bye to those which spent this last year. The abundance of the fields leads now to the power and the force of God with horns of hunting. This begins one moment of darkness, when the ground begins its drowsiness and as of now until Yule, the days develop shorter and darker. The winter gives the attack to start to sweep to the bottom of north. Moment when the rest of the ground is started at Samhain. We celebrate the last year and the year to come. We light fires and carry out the ritual one to honour those which went front. A wine and bread sacrifice is offered to the gods as mercies of their councils throughout the last year and in advance during the year to come.
