Wiccan Core Pratices and Commonly Accepted Beliefs

What follows is not universally accepted by all Wiccans and pagan, but in general, it is representing system of belief of Wiccan.

The divine spirit is present in all the creatures and things: people, animals, factories, stones.

The final creative force appears in female and male modes; thus it is often symbolized as the goddess and a God.

In some covens, both are also celebrated. In others, the goddess is given the priority or even celebrated without reference to God.

All the goddesses and gods are aspects of the goddess and God. The most popular aspects in Wicca are the triple goddess of the moon (young lady, mother and woman) and of God with horns of died and rebirth.

The reincarnation and the karma are valid concepts. On death one goes in a reflexion and at-rest state, and chooses thereafter where and when s/he is Rene.

Magick is practised for goals (helping) positive: spiritual development, curative, councils, safety, etc.

The ritual one are generally carried out outside if possible, with the news and full moons, and eight festivals of Sabbath which mark the progression of the seasons.

Magick and celebration are carried out in the small groups, usually 3 to 13, called covens. They are basically autonomous -- there are no authority or central hierarchy church.

There are no holy book, or prophet, no equivalent of the bible or Jesus or Mohamed. The individuals have access to the divine one, and do not need an intermediary. Each initiate is regarded as a priest/ess.

Central ethics is “and the evil of ye no, make like will of ye. ” Some energy you sent triple returns, thus it is wise to be pleasant with others.

Us should live in harmony with the ground and nature, and not exploit them.

Although Wicca is a valid spiritual way, it is not only. There is no recruitment, and people should be free to choose the way the this best adjustments their needs.

The concepts of the original sin, the sacrifice, the repurchase, the confession, the divinity of Jesus, sinfulness of sex, judgement, sky and hell, denigration of the women, body resurrection, and the bible as a divine revelation are not part of Wicca. Neither one nor the other are Satanism, the black mass, desecration of the cemeteries, the sacrifice of the animals, etc
