Totem Magic

Totem Magic is based on an alignment of animal strengths and powers with intentions. Totem are typically used as symbols of tribes, clans, families, or individuals. They represent the association of the animals in representation of the group or person.







Native Americans believe that every person is connected with nine different animals that will accompany him or her through life, acting as guides. Different animal guides often come in and out of one's life depending on the circumstances and situations we confront along the way, but a totem animal accompanies a person for life, both in the physical and spiritual world.

Totem Magic employs the powers of association with the strengths of the animal kingdom to achieve results. Knowing the powers of each individual animal are therefore necessary for their incorporation into magic. The table below lists many of the common animals and their associated strengths or powers.
