Founded in Greece by seven renowned scholars and seasoned practitioners of magic, the Order of Seven chose the seven daughters of Atlas, the Pleiades, as their object of divinity and worship. Many, many years later, the Order of Seven was driven out of their homeland of Greece and eventually settled in Rome. Fearing persecution, the Order of Seven decided its best course of action would be to disperse and assimilate into general society. But operating under a cloak of secrecy, kept closed by a punishment of death for would-be traitors, the Order managed to flourish and produce some of the greatest thinkers and mental catalysts of civilizational progress Rome had ever seen, all the while keeping their true identities and beliefs secret.

Today, the Order of Seven still exists and operates in a very similar manner to its predecessor of several thousand years ago. The Order's philosophy has expanded to a great degree due to scientific discoveries, new truths, and their public associations, but their basic tenets and ethical foundation remain intact.

Approximately 2700 individuals are active members of the worldwide Order of Seven. Its primary source of new members is by birth into a family with an Order of Seven pedigree and heritage. New members are not usually recruited, but the end of a lineage can, and has occasionally, created an open slot that has been filled by a new initiate.

Members of the Order are strictly forbidden from disclosing their identities, but are obligated by creed to pass important and useful information, considered vital by the Order to the advancement of civilization and/or society to the outside world through properly-established channels.

This is a collection of twenty-one of their most secretive and closely-guarded spells. The spells in this collection were assembled from members and traditions within the Order of both the "Ancients" and the "Moderns" sects. These spells and rituals span thousands of years of scientific and magical thought, development, and practice—and are, for the most part—unknown to all but a select few. The spells and rituals contained in this latest revision have been translated, adapted, and written, like those previously released, in accordance with the universal rules of magic and witchcraft, and to the best of our knowledge, have received the official approval of the governing members of the Order of Seven.
